After 10 years, it's time for a change.

On January 3, 2003 I went full-time with my freelance graphic design business. Since then, it's been an amazing journey. I've met great people, worked on great projects and produced some tasty designs.

 

On January 3, 2013 a slight shift will take place. While my graphic design business will still be alive and well, I will decrease my project load significantly. This will allow me to focus on a smaller number of key design projects providing a better return on investment for my customers. And, in honor of moving past 10 years in business, the name will change to After 10 Design Studio.

 

At the same time, much of my focus will shift to a major project I've been working on for several years - Appropos. Our team of 7 built an enterprise level iPad app and companion web portal from the ground up and have had great success in licensing it to some major companies. We found a niche that was unfulfilled - and we filled it with a product that will not only save companies money, but allow their sales teams to be more effective. 2013 is poised to be an exciting year for our little startup.

 

In addition, a small web application I built 6 years ago (RaceCertificates.com) has received some nice attention lately. I was approached by a running race to create a system that would allow participants to go online, search, and print a finisher certificate for the event. It was a hit and saved the race on printing and mailing costs. Since then, it's been implemented on many races across the globe. I will be fine tuning this application and doing some marketing to get the word out.

 

I'm thankful to the many people who have helped me get to where I am today. I'm fortunate to do work I love on a daily basis, and look forward to future endeavors. Thanks for being a part of the journey.
